
Participants research a developing technology, prepare a video showing an application of the technology in the classroom, and create a lesson plan/activity that features the application and connects to the Standards for Technological and Engineering Literacy (STEL), as well as STEM initiatives and integration.



Early Submission:
Students will need their Participant ID number, and password, from their advisor.
In preparation for this event, participants thoroughly research and select one (1) developed application that teachers can use in a classroom lesson. Participants create an instructional video demonstrating the functionality of the product and discussing how it can be used in a classroom lesson.
Max. length 8 minutes, no minimum length
Students will upload video to the platform of their choice, and then submit the URL.
Semifinalists will be announced during the Opening Session. Semifinalists will present their lesson plan to judges, having 7 minutes to present lesson, and 3 minutes to answer questions.
NOTE: Semifinal lesson plan should be a classroom lesson, different than the instructional video, which is about a tech application teachers can use in a classroom.
